HISTORY OF THE OF PRIME ISTHMUS HOTEL
Iannis Xenakis was one from the most impressive and exceptional architects and composers of the 20th century, using new, exceptional and pioneering methods developed by him, in correlation with music, architecture, mathematics and science.
Xenakis worked together in the building of the Prime Isthmus Hotel with his good friend and architect Peter Spilitakos. The result of their particular collaboration was the planning and design of the Prime Isthmus Hotel.
At the end of the 1960’s, when the structure of the hotel was completed, another famous profile entered the picture: Tom Pappas, who contributed financially to the construction and placed the standards of an American style motel, giving the first name as “Motel Isthmia”.
The building of the hotel has unique advantages and technical characteristics, wings, reversed posts and a convex roof, that is adapted to penetrate the beams of the sun, resulting to a fabulous and impressive spectacle.
